1917. Woodrow Wilson was president. The US entered World War I. And somewhere out there, a beautiful love story started when Penny was proposed to with this vintage engagement ring - a gorgeous late-Edwardian era beauty.
This is For Richer’s first true antique engagement ring, and to say we are obsessed is understating it. Coming in at just under a carat at 0.75 carats, the center diamond is a rare Old European Cut (OEC) stone. Old Euro Cuts are hand cut and are no longer produced, making this a true gem (see what we did there?).
The details on this antique engagement ring are fascinating and truly one of a kind. Adding to the uniqueness, the ring is engraved with the initials and wedding date of its first owners: HAP to SWS M 9th 1917 (March 9, 1917).
